Mass Movement,
Inc. is a national specialty logistic solutions and distribution
services provider working exclusively in the commercial fitness
industry. Founded in April 1996, the objective of the Company is to
dynamically improve the way that commercial fitness equipment is
shipped, distributed, assembled and installed. Based on the steady
growth that the Company has experienced since its incorporation,
that goal is clearly being achieved every day.
Mass Movement’s
first distribution center opened in Los Angeles, CA. As the customer
base rapidly grew to include the largest and most high profile
manufacturers and purchasers of commercial fitness equipment, the
principals immediately realized that there was a large demand for
the solutions, expertise and services that the Company provided.
Shortly thereafter, a second distribution center was opened in
Boston, MA. These centers enjoyed immediate success and prompted the
further expansion of Mass Movement to a distribution center in San
Francisco, CA and then another in Seattle, WA. A fifth center was
opened in Dallas, TX, in 1999 and the sixth center was opened later
that year in Baltimore, MD. Each location was initially identified
as a high volume market area and the locations were chosen in order
to maximize operating efficiencies.
Presently, Mass
Movement offers its customers a wide array of services that include:
transportation of freight from point of manufacture to customer or
distribution center, assembly of equipment, testing of equipment
prior to delivery to customer and date specific installation of
equipment at customer location. As a result of the services offered
by Mass Movement, all participants in the distribution chain receive
benefits. Manufacturers are able to recognize cost savings and
greater shipping efficiency by utilizing distribution centers and
shipping full truckloads of equipment as opposed to half-full
truckloads. Because of the quality control procedures that are in
place at each of Mass Movement’s distribution centers, “out of box
failures” have been virtually eliminated, due to the Mass Movement
quality control program which identifies and corrects problems
before product is delivered to the customer. Manufacturers are also
able to consolidate multiple product lines at the distribution
centers and have their equipment delivered at the same time despite
originating at different manufacturing locations.
Purchasers such
as large health clubs, government facilities or universities are
also able to take advantage of the many benefits afforded to them
through the utilization of Mass Movement services. All equipment is
consolidated in one distribution center for a single delivery date
and the customer is given the option to receive their product on an
expedited basis or to store equipment at Mass Movement until they
are ready to accept it.
Mass Movement
currently operates a fleet of between six and ten vehicles out of
each of the Company’s six distribution centers. All routing is
strategically calculated to maximize operational efficiency and to
ensure on time, date specific delivery within a four to six state
region.

representing the largest and most well-respected manufacturers and
purchasers of fitness equipment in the world. A true market leader,
